LittleBigPlanet DLC 0

lbp_dlc LittleBigPlanet DLC

And I don’t even have a copy of it yet! Not due to me being broke and/or lazy, due to, once again, late releases in the UK. BUT nevertheless, DLC for LittleBigPlanet is coming, and, surprise surprise, the first set of sackboy outfits are Halloween late bloomers, and free between November 6th and November 19th.

Also coming are Sackboy Costumes priced at $0.99 each, Premium Sackboy Costumes (yeah you guessed it, this is where Old Snake and Sephiroth coming into!) are priced at $1.99 each, RARE Sackboy Costumes which are, well, unpriced by the looks of it. Basic SackBoy Costume Bundle - $2.99 and Premium SackBoy Costume Bundle - $5.99.

Hit the jump for more images of cool sackboy costumes or follow the link for more in-depth descriptions on each bundle…

New Wii iPlayer ‘Looks Great’ 0

wiiplayer-wii-hacked-homebrew-iplayer-copy1 New Wii iPlayer Looks Great

The new iPlayer interface for the Nintendo Wii has been released by the BBC, apparently built better to suit your TV and the Wii remote. I do infact use the iPlayer alot of my computer, but have to admit I’ve never actually used it on my Wii, but maybe I should try…

The new Wii version has a simplified user interface that presents just a few options on screen at a time and nice big chunky controls - easy to aim at with a Remote

It’s still using the original streaming quality, which is said to not be ideal, but ‘further developments’ means that there could be a change? Well let’s hope, no one likes to see stretched pixels on the screen.

[Ed's Note - Just tried it out, and it's not loading correctly - great start.]

Custom MGS4 PS3 on eBay - $17,100 0

picture-1 Custom MGS4 PS3 on eBay - $17,100

The custom Metal Gear Solid 4 Playstation 3 has been on eBay, scrap that, has been the spotlight on eBay! And for good reason, this thing is awesome! Not only because Hideo Kojima himself signed it, but including a GA-KO Alarm Clock (that alone is worth it!) plus several more goodies. Click after the jump for an image of what it comes with.

So up on eBay it goes, and some lucky sod picked up this for a measly $17,100!! Now, 15% of that is going to the charity Child’s Play, so all the more reason to feel good about the price! Now, if I had $17,200 spare, I woulda snapped this up myself, but as it goes I don’t - but maybe I’d have abit more of a reliable name than the winning bidder, charlies_is_on_welfare, let’s just hope that’s irony at it’s best.

Miyamoto Gets Trapped in His Own Games! 0

picture-2 Miyamoto Gets Trapped in His Own Games!

Obviously not really! Well, suppose it could be meant in a ‘Miyamoto is so into his games his mind gets trapped within the games…’ etc, but no, in terms of in a flash animation. And an AWESOME flash animation at that. Long story short, Miyamoto gets trapped in the world of Mario, Link and DK, and to survive each world he has to have his heroes help him along they way.

Ubisoft: “To Use EndWar to facilitate a future Tom Clancy MegaGame” 0

tom-clancys-endwar-672 Ubisoft: To Use EndWar to facilitate a future Tom Clancy MegaGame

Where to start. Well, don’t believe anything you read.

With that in mind, think of this. Tom Clancy: Endwar as a central ‘hub’, then Ghost Recon a branches out as one mission on Ghost Recon merges with Endwar. Now, magnify that out to all the Tom Clancy games and what do you have? Yes, a ‘MegaGame’!

Kotaku say:

And that’s just the start. Eventually - tech and public interest allowing - the Endwar “universe” would act as the overarching Clancy universe, within which the storylines of each new Rainbow Six, Splinter Cell and HAWX missions would be played out, ultimately leading to the direct linking of each game’s campaigns.

Well, you know, it’s a nifty lil idea isnt it?

Treyarch Not Ruling Out More WWII 0

treyarch Treyarch Not Ruling Out More WWIICall of Duty 4 - what a great game that was, and what made it so great? Well apart from the graphics, gameplay, multiplayer etc. it was the leap from WWII to Modern day. So, Call of Duty 5, BACK to WWII, but that’s ok I suppose, live and let live and all… but ANOTHER WWII game - c’mon, that’s getting abit drawn out now isnt it?

Talking in an interview with CVG senior producer Noah Heller said:

I can’t say that there won’t ever be a WWII Call of Duty game again, but we’re glad we were able to end the war and we’re glad we’re going to support the title with lots of downloadable content,” Heller said.

“It’s gratifying that we’re able to show the close for once, rather than the opening,” he added. “The war is over and both campaigns have a very clear ending.

FRICK! - let’s go to the ‘nam - I like that…
